Configuring Proxy Server Settings |
If you connect to the Internet through a proxy server of firewall, you may need to configure Xdrive Desktop to authenticate with your server. To configure proxy server settings for Xdrive Desktop, launch the program and click on the Settings tab on the left side of the monitor. The Settings window will appear. Click on the Proxy tab near the top of the Settings window to configure proxy settings.

By default, Xdrive Desktop will attempt to automatically discover the proxy settings used by other applications on your computer (such as your Web Browser) and use these settings when connecting to your Xdrive account. To manually configure the settings for your proxy server, select the "Override Proxy Settings" option and enter the information for your server. You will need to enter the following information:
Server: The IP Address of your proxy server or firewall.
Port: The TCP Port used to connect to your proxy server or firewall.
Username: The Username that you use to authenticate with your proxy server or firewall.
Password: The Password that you use to authenticate with your proxy server or firewall.
If you do not know the correct information to enter in the Proxy Settings fields, please contact the administrator of your network for this information. If you have entered the correct server settings and you experience problems connecting to your account, Xdrive Desktop may not be compatible with your proxy server. We have tested Xdrive Desktop with Win Proxy (1.4 and 1.2), as well as Netscape Proxy 4.5, and have found them to be compatible. We do not currently support the Socks proxy.
